Regulate before you Educate! 🧘🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️

Hi Reader!

Did you know that up to 88% of students with an identified disability have difficulty processing sensory input? 😲 So chances are if you are a special education teacher or serve any special education students, you have quite a few kiddos who need sensory input embedded throughout their school day.

But how do you do this on top of all the daily routines, academic learning, and adaptive behavior goals you are already covering each and every day?! 😩

Don't worry! I have some great examples from my classroom to help you visualize how to make sensory supports work in your classroom in a meaningful and practical way! 🙌🙌 Check out my blog post here:

Hi Reader! I started blogging in 2012 as a way to share ideas and network with other SpEducators when I often felt like I was on my own little island as the only special education classroom in my building. Fast forward 12 years later and I have expanded my blog into my TPT store and these weekly Snippets that I get to share with all of you. The only problem was my blog was still stuck in 2012 🫣🫣🫣 Until now... I'm so excited to introduce the new Miss Allison's SpEd Spot! My new site makes it...

Hi Reader! Read Across America Week will be here before you know it! Does your school have a big celebration? In my classroom, a favorite book for many years was Green Eggs and Ham. Plus some progress monitoring sheets so I didn't have to reinvent...
